Dragons, Royalty, Mountains, and Castles –
Stars in the sky, and Mystical shit…

You know, what I hear the most from my author friends is “Regina, how can I make my fantasy book cover stand out on the shelf next to some of these elaborate and detailed designs?”

And you know what I tell them – “EMBRACE YOUR MAGIC! ” (more or less LOL) There are some really epic ways of helping your cover sell, and I'm here to make magical book cover butter with you and help wield that magic wand of yours to really start to understand the flow of magical covers.

More often than not, a fantasy novel isn’t selling or not gaining traction because the cover is off somehow. It can be an oddly chosen font, the color scheme, or the market research was off. Sometimes it’s a perfect cover, but it just doesn’t convey the MAGIC of the story inside.

I’ve done simple covers with just an object as the main focal point, AND I’ve done extravagant and detailed designs for fantastical covers (fantastical meaning fantasy, magical, ethereal, etc). Both have proven to be designs that have completely blown readers away. So I'm here to help you breakdown the process and learn these tricks as well! How do you take the magic inside the book and break it down into a visual thats marketable to a select group of people and then convert them to buy?

Magic. Just kidding! (mostly) I dose EVERYTHING I do with magic. It's intentional and intuitive work and there are many ways to breakdown the contents to convert and we're not only gonna learn those here, but how to build that magic too.

The magic inside of YOU.

Whether it’s a Fantasy Book Cover with a crown or a cover full of dragons and sword wielding badasses – there are some pretty easy ways to capture that magic and display it for the world. And we're gonna stop googling and youtubing it. I'm gonna teach you right here, and I swear I wont make your eyes and ears bleed in the process. It's going to work in terms you can understand and processes that aren't complicated.

And I am going to teach you HOW in this course. And I don't speak in tongues and I'm not gonna withhold info from you.

Grab your swords and get ready to slay that dragon known as “Photoshop”!

I’ll be showing you all the techniques and tricks you need to make the most mystical Book Cover designs for anything Magical!

We will specifically be discussing:

Color Theory on Fantasy covers – why it’s important and how it can set the mood of your design

Fonts that are best for telling a Magical story

Composition and space

Tools that will help you move faster

Body swaps

Lighting techniques

How to do Market Research

How to use Layer Masks to kick ass over and over again

How to swap swords, clothes, …or even faces

Covers that soar VS Covers that flop – book covers sell books (some of it isn't even designer related, but SUPER relevant!)

A whole fu*%ton of confidence! FFS we need to stop with the Photoshop tuts that literally make our hair gray.
